It’s Her Turn: Women’s Forum in Bangalore

by Jul 14, 2018News

Women's Forum | SDIE
Aside from quality education, Sahasra Deepika wants to encourage women’s empowerment to the girls of Bangalore. Sahasra Deepika wants to use this opportunity to promote equality for everyone. In our society, women have been declined opportunities that are both applicable to men and women, and because of this, women hardly had a chance to create something for themselves.

We kicked off the 20th-anniversary celebration of Sahasra Deepika with a special luncheon and panel discussion, “It’s Her Turn: Forging a New Day for Women in India,” at the Le Meridien in Bangalore on July 13th, 2018. Our distinguished panel included Dr. Sunita Bhat, a Pediatric Cardiologist and Chief Dreamer of Teleradiology Solutions;  Tanvi Gandhi, Executive Producer at Phantom Films; Preeti Singh, Editor, Houzz India; and moderator Monika Samtani, founder and President of Ms. Media and The Fem Word. The panelists engaged in a lively and inspiring discussion. The guests were invited to participate in roundtable discussions about the status of women in India today.
