International Women’s Day 2021

by Mar 12, 2021Blog, News

International Women's Day 2021 | SDIE
Every woman is equally important, and every woman is worth it. Here in Sahasra Deepika, we highly value women’s empowerment, and we highly believe that women should be treated equally as men. Women also are capable of doing the things that men can do. Every girl in Sahasra Deepika is provided with equal attention, care and education. We strive to make them feel that they are important and loved. Sahasra Deepika is not just an institution, but a family that wants to pull each other up.

WIPRO employees joined the girls at Sahasra Deepika Institute to commemorate the 110th International Women’s Day. Due to the pandemic, this year’s celebration was smaller but no less memorable. Students performed a skit and WIPRO volunteers led them in different activities. The highlight of the day was a speech by Mamatha and Saanya:

“I would like to share my thoughts on this wonderful day. Let me wish Happy Women’s Day to all the beautiful and courageous women present here. International Women’s Day is celebrated across the world every year on March 8th, to honor the achievements of women in various fields. It is celebrated to express appreciation, respect, love, and care towards all women. The significance of this day is increasing every year. Today’s women are self-dependent and are giving a big contribution to the development of society and the country, and they have always been doing so. Every woman is equally important even if she is a working woman or a stay-at-home worker, taking care of her family and children.”

To all women everywhere–we salute you! Let us all lift each other up and support each other each and every day. Many thanks to WIPRO employees Balaji, Harikrishnan, Sherly, Athira, and Lubna for joining us on this special occasion.
