T.V. and Vijaya Ramakrishna, founders of Sahasra Deepika, have reached another milestone as they were honored as Tampa Bay Unsung Heroes by the Indian International Film Academy at the glamorous IIFA Rocks program in Tampa, Florida, on April 24. The Ramakrishnas were recognized for their heroic work in bringing education, hope, and opportunity to needy children in Bangalore, India. Since they could not accept this recognition in person, their son, Dr. Naren Ramakrishna, walked the runway on their behalf during the star-studded event.
